Achieving Biodiversity Net Gain through Ecological Engineering

Since 2014, Exo Environmental has been developing a range of low carbon, environmentally friendly products that protect coastal and marine infrastructure whilst achieving biodiversity net gain. The development and manufacture of these innovative nature based solutions has now been taken over by Exo Engineering, operating as a sister company to Exo Environmental.

Products range from ExoReef scour protection and ExoRock coastal defences to ExoHabitats for waterfront infrastructure. Exo Engineering builds on the research and development previously led by Exo Environmental, utilising innovative Geoblock® and Green the Grey® technologies which utilise waste materials to make low carbon products with complex surface textures which facilitate bio-colonisation by coastal and marine species  technologies.
